Kayleigh Lang (b. 1990) is an artist and educator currently located in Spokane, Washington. They grew up in Cheyenne, WY and graduated with a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Wyoming. They then moved to Washington, where they graduated with an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Washington State University. Since graduating in 2016, their work has been shown throughout the west and the greater Pacific Northwest. They currently work as a full-time artist and Instructor at various colleges and universities throughout eastern Washington.
From an early age, they found that the best way to express themselves and the world around them was through the visual image. Their paintings and drawings are accentuated with sensual subject matter and a shrewdness that's both unconventional and sentimental. Their work explores personal truths through sexuality and self-expression. Everpresent in their work are tempestuous characters and captivating settings that speak to the graphic nature of their narratives.
When not working on art, Kayleigh enjoys teaching and practicing yoga, reading tarot cards, and listening to scary podcasts.
